i need help dealing with my parents who dont trust me?
My parents, who have emigrated here from Asia, are have been very strict my whole life. I have always put up with it but I can't deal with it anymore.
I am not allowed to hang out with most of my friends, because my parents believe that American society is corrupt. They don't allow me to date, and I respect that. I don't go behind their backs or anything about it. They assume that all American teenagers are bad influences on me, and hate it whenever I ask to hang out with them. And they shit on my personality all the time (I have two completely different personalities – my “real” one at school and my “fake” quiet, depressed one at home.) They say I am a follower and will be influenced by my friends in bad ways if I talk to them too much. (Honestly, I think I might be the bad influence. Whenever I want to lie to my parents so that I don’t go mentally insane, they tell me to just tell the truth.) Since September, I have only been out with my friends twice - once in October to see a movie and once in January to study for a test. Every other time my friends ask me to hang out with them (at east once a week) I had to say no to them. My parents also won't let me hang out with boys, because in their Asian culture, being seen with a boy in public will ruin my reputation as a girl possibly for life among other Asians. (Bullshit.) This is extremely unfortunate because I have made the best friends ever this year - some of them are guys, and the others are just "unacceptable" friends in my parents' eyes. I absolutely love my friends; they have turned me into such a great person, and have always had my back. There are only two girls my parents don't mind me being friendly with, but I still don't hang out with them because my parents hate driving me around places. I am 17 and have a license, but can't drive because my parents don’t think I am a good driver.
I normally am able to deal with all this anti-social crap from my parents, because I understand that they have reasons, however dumb they are, behind this. And since they "love" me, I really need to respect them. But this year, it's been very overwhelming. Maybe because I have met amazing people this year that I absolutely love and cannot live without.
Usually I don't mind staying in the house around my family a lot. But this year has been unbearable because I am starting to get in trouble for something every time I look at my parents. My phone bill came from last month, and my parents were very mad that I had 4,000 texts. I text a lot because I don’t see my friends outside of school – I need to communicate! Otherwise, I would die of boredom and loneliness. They are concerned that I am talking to boys, or hiding something in all my texts. When they found out I got texts after 10 PM, they were extremely angry at me because they thought that it was inappropriate. (I am an insomniac, can’t fall asleep before 2 AM, and have a lot of insomniac friends to talk to while I lay in bed attempting to force myself to get tired.) My parents are making a HUGE deal out of this, and keep telling me that I am sneaky, I don’t set a good example for my siblings (bullshit – I am the valedictorian of my school), constantly lie to them, and that they can’t trust me.
This is not an occasional fight. They yell at me for this EVERY day. The worst part: I cannot talk back to them. They think that is extremely disrespectful. Today, my dad was complaining about my texting again, and repeatedly asked me, “do you want me to show you the phone bill? You texted too much.” in a violently angry nature at least ten times. After a while, I replied, “dad, i believe you”. He still kept telling me that I think i’m smarter than him and blah blah blah. Stuff like this always happens, and I have lost a lot of respect for my dad because he is abusive to me, my siblings, and my mom.
I wish I could just escape this all when I go to college in a few months. But my parents are paying for college, so I basically need to do what they say. And I am going to have to keep seeing them. My parents have predicted that I am going to go crazy in college, because I “will have a boyfriend secretly”. My friends know I will go crazy because I have never had fun in my life before. Today my parents told me that they don’t trust me and they keep stressing about college every day. I know that when I am in college, they will call me every 5 minutes (like how they do now on the rare occasions I leave the house), visit me too much, demand me to visit them too much, and freak out when I hang out with my friends more than once a month or something.
I just hate how there is poor communication between my parents and me. They are not willing to listen to me; I have tried a lot each day of my life. I try to explain to them that they must have had some freedom when they were my age, and that I really am not a bad person. Everyone at my school loves me. All of my college interviewers this year told me that I had a great, happy personality and that my parents must be proud of me. My friends constantly tell me that their parents would love to have me as their daughter.
But my own parents tell me that they can’t trust me. Today, i was told to go move to some other country and start over by myself. (I don’t think they were serious, unfortunately. They would never allow me to have that much independence.)
Does anyone have some advice? I know that this isn’t the end of the world, but I am terrified that I have no social experience in the world and that my life is so empty. I think I just needed to rant more than anything.

What are some counter arguements that alot of straight asian girls dont prefer white guys over other races?

But thats because that they are in Asia, with alot of asians.
Another was "why do I see many asian couples in U.S."
Theres a number of reasons
1- New asian fobs come of to the u.s. from asia constantly already married, or gf/bf
2- They dont get white guys because the white guys dont hit on them, and they are scared and shy too. But if the white guys hit on them, they would follow them .
3- Disapprovement from famililies
Most asian dads want their daughter to date the same race as they do
(as can be seen with most dad no matter what race) Some asian girls might rebel if their dad is the only one, but most family members, older brothers, cousins, would laugh and make fun of them for being a "banana" either being friendly (but asian girl still feels uncomfortable)
or being serious.

I am myself anyone from those groups, (I am white boy), but I have many Asian friends (females), and yet have seen some comments about Asian women being not willing to date Black boy, But after looking at some data, Asian women in USA if marry foreigners marry 90% White and 10% Black boys, yes, Whites are more frequent, but it is also the truth that Black people comprise 10 % of population of USA (I am not from USA, as you can see by my English).
Well, and among my friends some women like to date a Balck boy, althogh it's hard to find one in Asia...

Except for some Scandinavian (troll) Asian women on yahoo answers, I think Asian don't have problems with Black people, althoguht it may be sometimes hard for Asian parents to accept a foreigner (White or Black).
Anyway, I think Asian people are just like any other people.

I just saw a question in which proof was offered via one of those websties that radioactive decay rates were much faster thousands of years ago--and thats why you can't trust radiometric dating--because the rate isn't constant. I don't care whether you are a christian, and atheist, a hindu or a zombie--truth is truth and lies are lies. To influence people to a particular viewpoint is ethically and morally repugnant--these people who publish these lies on web sites --if the christian idea of hell is true--I hope these liars have a long and painful hell for attempting to sway peoples belief with bald face lies. Why is the radiometeric dating assertation a lie? If you back calculate the decay rates at 4000 years ago which would have made the dino bones look 65,000,000--well the problem is with that high of decay rates--the uranium deposits in north america, south america, africa and asia-would have gone critical--in other words for that particular idea to be true would have meant we'd have a vapor cloud in orbit around the sun where the earth used to be. Since we are here --they are liars. Don't you just hate liars which deliberately attempt to mislead people?
Why don’t asian women date black guys(Asian women only please)?
I just wanted to know what is it about black guys that makes asian women not want to date them? I've heard that black people have a bad reputation in asia or something like that. I've tried with a few times but never any luck. What can I say,I love asian women. The way they carry themselves,they're smiles,and most of all,their beautiful eyes. Anyway,I just don't get it. I work with a mall full of them and the ones around my age have become really flirty toward me and my former commanding officer. But in terms of dating ,I get cold shoulder when it comes to dating.But he's 20 years older than us and they can't stay off him.

When I lived in Korea, many guys wanted to come to America because it is a large country with many opportunities. Many Asian countries are overpopulated and it is extremely hard to live there. After I came to America, I realized that American guys are overly obsessed with dating Asian girls. If American guys and Asian guys could just switch places, everyone would be happy. American guys can enjoy Asian girls in Asia and Asian guys can succeed and live better lives in America...What do you guys think?
