I frequent the official forum of The Amazing Race Asia, and I've read quite a lot to confirm that yes, Rov and Van are dating. They were seen here in the Philippines many times. As for Marc and Paula, they say they're just friends, although they had been spotted together as well and are suspiciously inseperable.

What race am I from?
My family tree dates back all the way to 570 CE. My forefathers were Arabs who migrated to Central Asia (present day Turkmenistan). Around the 16th century, my Turkmen forefathers arrived with the Mughal armies and settled in Northern India. For the next 350 years they intermarried, until my father married outside of the "clan": my mother is of Arab lineage.
What race am I? Arab? Central Asian? Indian?
Akurei00 and Sonny M: Genealogy has been a common (and important) feature in South Asia and the Arab world. You will find many families who have their genealogical records intact. (That's the reason most of us will never have to use Ancestry.com). I never made any effort to trace my lineage: it's all their in my father's library!
In fact, it's very easy to go farther than 570, right up to Ishmael and then Abraham, because the genealogical tree from Abraham to the 6th century Arabs of the Mecca region is well documented. It is after around 570 CE that the records start becoming individualized for different families.

Ii must say I do have a prefence.I prefer men from Mexico & Southeast Asia.I think Mexican men are sexy & have nice golden yellow color.I like Eurasian men as well. i have dated black men,but unfortunatley it was basically all bad experienes with them.(No offense)We had different tastes in Music & clothes,dancing,culture,ect,Among other things. I realte well to Mexican men & SE Asin men.i have dated white guys,i i prefer South east Asain & Men from Mexico.serios Question.I don't know why i'm from PA & never seen a Mexican person till 2001
Why is it that when people discuss race, they always talk about skin colour? Followed by two other questions.?
I once had a discussion about race with some people and they all mention colour first. I hear the same on the news etc. According to many encyclopedias, colour is the least important thing when it comes to race. I agree completely. Race is more about characteristics. I've been through East Asia and have found many people with the same look but different skin colours. I guess the only reason they're not called by a skin colour is because one family can have brown, white, red and yellow children with the same look and different colours.
Also, at University, some of my friends were dark skinned (tan to a dark white) including me and other friends were more pink/white or just white. I noticed that the lighter the hair colour the more lighter the skin was because of less melanin present but then again I dated some blonde women and had some blond male friends with darker skins.
I'm just saying that race is determined more by looks than skin colour which is why many North Americans (I'm not north American by the way) refer to 'white people' as Caucasian which is more proper. So, why is colour such an issue when race is discussed? Many East Asians were pure white compared to me and some other foreigners but they were not classified as such. Also, what's the difference between certain Arabs and Europeans? I've noticed common arabs have thick lips, big noses and beady eyes and chubby round faces but some look very Caucasian.
One more thing is are Bulgarians Europeans if their forefathers are originally from Asia?
You may ask who cares and I don't care that much but there are other people that always bring up subjects of race etc. when one is in a conversation. The amount of people who do are amazing!

Some people say that we should all come together and mate outside of our own race, what is the point?
People say that we should all mate outside of our own race more and interracial marriages should be encouraged so one day we can all come together and defeat racism. Well one of the things I like about the US is the fact that we are so diverse as a country and that I can see Black, White, Asian and Hispanic girls.
Even if the pointless utopia people are talking of is to come true (it won't, most people prefer mates of their own race), how would it solve any problems? We are all humans and if we are the same race then we will still make a big deal out of skin tones and everything. I mean look at Asia and Africa, everyone there is the same skin color, hair color and race but those people are still killing each other based on religion and other things.
What next? Make it so everyone is the same religion? Make it so all people have the same political views? Make it so everyone likes the same type of things? Just so "hatred" can end?
I honestly love diversity and in terms of dating or marriage, I am a dark hair man with brown eyes who would not go with a Blonde or Redhead. I am not attracted to White women at all in most cases unless they are Italian or Spanish. I don't really care about what others do but in reality, I believe that the fact people are trying to force interracial mating down everyone's throat for the sake of ending racism is just stupid.
