Asia is such a wonderful place, full of cultures so different to everything we know in our Western society. Obviously in Australia, our culture was primarily imported from our british forefathers, and then during the last 30 to 40 years, from the US as our politicians allied themselves this with last true military and economic superpower.

That being said though, Australia is as close to a "multi-cultural" society as you are likely to find anywhere in the world. And Asia is our closest neighbour. Therefore, despite the vast cultural differences between East and West, in Australia we are blessed by seeing Asian culture in our lives everyday. There is hardly a town in Australia without an Asian grocery store and an Asian restaurant of some type. And there is not a city in Australia without a China Town district. It is little wonder that some of us fall in love with the exotic Asian cultures and the beautiful people who have brought them to us.

If you are one of those people, and are looking to date someone Asian to bring these beautiful cultures closer to home, or if you are an Asian Australian looking for someone who understands your culture, the good news is that dating sites these days are getting more and more sophisticated in the ways they define themselves, so the chances are that you can find a specific site dedicated to the Asian culture and its people you are interested in.

Highschool or the world?

Ok so tell me what you think. I am in 8 th grade and instead of going to travel around the globe in a motor home except when we go over seas. He the thing i will come back and settle in the states and go to 11 and 12 grade so i get the best of both worlds i get to go to prom and date and do the high school package. and i also get my fill of the world see Asia Europe Mexico and of course all 50 states. Now you have to realize i did this before in elementary and have been dying to do it again. All i want to know if you had my chance would you take it?
Oh trust me i wont ignore my education im a geek i read books like crazy im already setting up online home school my parents wanted to settle down but im dying to be free the endless possibilities its mind blowing oh and whoever said we were the thorn berries you were exactly right that used to be our nickname before we stopped trailing hey can any of you help me with the online home school thing whats the best academy and such because last time i traveled my mom taught but this time i am going to be taking AP classes to get ahead.

Can you summarize world history?

You can skip the prehistoric times. And anything that's not important to the U.S.

You know, summarize like:

1. Crusades
2. Mongols invade Europe and Asia
3. Revolutions in America, France
4. Napolean Wars

Etc. And you can skip the dates/details. I can check that up anywhere.

It's just, you know? Frustrating. When you think you know all the facts about the Industrial Revolution for AP History, you find out that Revolution started a World Economy, creating the Great Depression, creating World War I.

Man, you miss ONE section in the book and you get a 50 on the test. Or, a practice test. But that could seriously have been the real thing.

ALERT! The world could end in 2012?

Is this true? Now I have heard it many times . On TV they say some date in 2012 is the last date according to the ancient Mexican calender. And ice cap around the North Pole is melting at a high rate . There's more, I heard that the Sun is behaving in a furious way; The Solar Flares (heat waves erupting from the surface of the Sun) maybe responsible for a big earthquake in the future; Cracks in the land have been witnessed in some countries of Asia. Astrologers predict that the end is near too!!
Do you believe this? What are you gonna do ? Carry on usually?
